Celebration and Reflection

It is powerful to reflect back on where we have been. It makes it that much easier to measure the Growth.

Big Steps and Celebrations this week:

  • Our Home was put Up For Sale this week and While we do not know what the next few months have in store for us We ARE Here For it.

  • Paul Received a third session of Stem Cell Therapy which completes the treatment Plan that had been cut Off back in March.

  • We expect this treatment will restore the final of the three major points of deterioration caused by the Lyme In his body. With the last two sessions he experienced greater mobility, strength and huge decreases in pain.

This is a huge win as it marks a new phase of Pauls Healing Journey.

We are so grateful for the Support we received when we received it. The investments in therapy tools we were able to make are a huge contributing factor to Paul being where he is today. While many were not as fortunate. This COVID Season we have observed countless others suffering with Lyme, Cancer and various other autoimmune disorders experience detrimental setbacks as their bodies responded to the stress with their reportedly worst flareups in recent past. Friends who hadn’t had symptoms for years were in need of a cane to walk, others needing wheelchairs. We experienced Pauls whole right side go into a state of paralysis on several scary occasions. We would not be Here in this capacity if it were not for you and your support. Our deepest gratitude.

This conversation we have been engaged in for the past several years as we have pursued Paul’s healing feel more relatable, it is more easy to engage with others because of this new shared experience. it is easier to see the ways in which healthcare, politics and revenues work together leaving many feeling that their needs and expectation of the health care system are not met. It feels almost easier to share our story.

In these past few months we moved our family to Mexico for a month so that we would not be separated when the borders closed. While Paul was getting basic treatment and services at the health clinic which kept his immune system supported there was a long lapse in most therapies and treatments. There were weeks were he spent 5-6 hours in the clinic connected to an IV just to come home and sleep until going back in the next day, we were some of the fortunate few able to continue treatment at all. When we were made aware that we could more easily come back and forth we moved the family back into our home in La Mesa. Paul continued going down for treatment 2-3 days a week, but it was clear we needed to find a more sustainable healing solution. Long commutes and full days in a clinic with little progress due to the lapses in restorative treatment were tearing us all apart. Relocation to an environment that we already knew was beneficial to Paul’s health felt like the next best step. In La Mesa we began preparing the home for a quick Sales process with plans to move to Costa Rica May 1.

Well our most well intentioned plans like those of so many others have been put on hold. With 2 different sets of flight arrangements rescheduled and Costa Rican borders closed to us indefinitely we are still here.

Paul’s Health continues to improve. With things opening up more, Paul has had access to a multitude of treatments that he was needing. While our moments of lack introduced new therapies that will be beneficial moving forward. Paul feels Better than has since those brief moments of improvement back in January. We are Trending up.
